Shenmue the Animation gets its first trailer
Crunchyroll and Adult Swim have shared the first trailer for Shenmue the Animation, an anime adaption of the Dreamcast adventure game.
The trailer is quite short, mainly showing Ryo Hazuki facing off against various opponents. It doesn’t really mirror the actual game, which was rather slow paced outside of a few key moments. Of course, the final product might have more of a balance between quiet and action-packed scenes.
Shenmue the Animation will air some time during 2022, with 13 episodes scheduled so far. It’s currently unknown how much of the game’s story this adaption will cover — hopefully Ryo at least ends up driving a forklift during one episode.
