Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster update improves demon fusion

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster has recently been patched on both PS4 and Switch. Aside from some bug fixes and improved menu performance, Ver. 1.02 finally gives players more control when fusing demons.

Atlus have shared footage of the new skill inheritance system added to the remaster, showing that you can now choose which skills to carry over to demons you’re fusing.

Skill inheritance is a feature present in all modern Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games, having even been added to Persona 4: Golden when it was not present in the original version. While this is something that probably should have been in the 1.0 release to begin with, it’s great to see quality of life improvements make their way to Nocturne.

Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster’s Western release is set for Spring 2021, with Ver. 1.02 and any future updates probably being included from the get-go.
