Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse heading to NA

Atlus has announced that Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, known as Final in Japan, will be heading to North America later this Summer.

Featuring some of the world’s tackiest box art, Apocalypse crosses over with the plot of Shin Megami Tensei IV as it focuses on other survivors trying to survive the demon outbreaks. Apocalypse will feature several characters from the original game including the elitist Navarre, who is now appearing as a spirit as he died via an unfortunate accident between the two games.

Shin Megami Tensei IV was a great game even if it didn’t blow me away and I’d rather have seen Atlus leave this installment alone, but the improvements made in Apocalypse seem to fix a lot of the issues with the original game. There are new problems in the form of the new main character art and box art though which are trying their best to push me away from playing it. I’m not convinced by the game yet but I hope that it can change my mind once it lands. Hopefully another company handles publishing duties in Europe as Atlus don’t have a good track record in publishing here.

Spread the love!
