Shin Megami Tensei V launches November 12 on Switch
It may have taken more than four years, but we finally have a release date for Shin Megami Tensei V. Launching in the west on November 12, 2021 exclusively for the Switch, Nintendo and Atlus have shared a lot of information on the latest entry in the SMT franchise.
Shin Megami Tensei V features a high school protagonist who is dragged into a demon-infested version of Tokyo. After fusing with a mysterious man and becoming a “Nahobino”, they must travel through this new world looking for answers.
The game made an appearance during Nintendo Treehouse: Live, showing off some early gameplay. Battles in Shin Megami Tensei V follow the press turn system (used in SMT 3 and 4), and should feel familiar to veterans of the series.
A limited “Forbidden Nahobino Box” edition has also been announced for Japan, though there’s no news on a western equivalent yet — we usually miss out on these editions, so it would be nice for this one to make it over.
