Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island heading to PC
The excellent roguelike Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is set to come to PC via Steam, developer Spike Chunsoft has revealed.
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is the sixth mainline entry in the Shiren series, where the titular protagonist follows visions of a distressed girl towards the islands peak.
Gameplay is similar to the previous entries, featuring punishing dungeon crawling as you learn how to take on new enemies and make use of every item at your disposal. Features like the training area should help to smooth over some of the difficulty curve, with all free patches from the Switch version included on PC at launch.
Spike Chunsoft also confirmed that the paid Plus Pack DLC, which will add in 10 dungeons and a new playable character, will also make its way to PC at the same time.
Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is a great entry point for newcomers, assuming they’re ready to die a lot on their journey across Serpentcoil Island and beyond. Check out our review of the Switch version for a look at what’s in store for PC players.
