Skullgirls teases new character during latest DLC trailer

Autumn Games and Hidden Variable have shared a new trailer for Annie, the latest character coming to Skullgirls 2nd Encore this year.

However, in a similar fashion to many of Guilty Gear Strive‘s trailers, a brand new unannounced character has also been teased.

After the demise of the original development studio, Lab Zero Games, the future of Skullgirls wasn’t looking too bright. Yet, a statement by Autumn Games and Hidden Variable confirmed that development of the game would continue, staring with Annie.

Annie is already available in Skullgirls Mobile, but the upcoming DLC will be her first playable appearance in the main game.

Annie is still planned for release early this year. As for the mystery character, a FAQ released by Hidden Variable mentions that there’s “much more to be shared” about this new challenger in the coming months.
