Sonic Colors: Ultimate, Sonic Origins, unnamed 2022 Sonic title announced
Sega announced a handful of upcoming Sonic games during its Sonic Central broadcast today.
The first game shown was Sonic Colors: Ultimate, a remaster of the original Wii game. Releasing on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store, Sonic Colors: Ultimate will include improved resolutions and framerates, along with updated controls. It’ll launch on September 17 — physical copies come with a Baby Sonic keychain based on the movie.
We’re also getting yet another Sonic collection with Sonic Origins. This one bundles the first three games and Sonic CD, though no release platforms or dates were mentioned.
In regards to actual new games, an incredibly short teaser trailer was shown right at the end of the presentation. Little was revealed for this unnamed Sonic title, outside of a 2022 release date and that it’ll launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
