Starfox and F-Zero graphic designer Takaya Imamura retires from Nintendo
After more than 30 years at Nintendo, Takaya Imamura — the man behind many of the beloved character designs in Starfox and F-Zero — announced on social media today that he has now retired.
Initially reported by Kotaku, the posts feature a picture of Imamura outside Nintendo’s headquarters in Kyoto. He mentions that he wanted to take a selfie outside of the office for his last day at work, which is mostly empty due to the ongoing pandemic.
Takaya Imamura’s work will continue to be treasured even after his retirement, and we thank him for all he’s done over the last few decades.
