Steins;Gate Elite Coming to Switch, a “Full Animation Adventure Game”
This week’s issue of Famitsu has revealed that Steins;Gate Elite will be coming to Switch, as well as PS4 and Vita! Described as a “full animation adventure game”, we also learn Steins;Gate Elite is taking a departure from the series’ traditional style to use footage from the anime adaptation, as can be seen in initial screenshots.
Every second of the anime has been captured for Elite, and you’ll be able to play the animation at the press of a button. WhiteFox, the studio behind the anime, are handling production once again for Elite, and are adding newly-produced routes that weren’t in the anime before. I’m not sure how incorporating the anime is going to work exactly, but it sounds like an interesting approach! I’m very curious to see what it looks like in action and having the same studio take on other routes sounds really exciting! Let’s hope we see more soon!
Steins;Gate Elite is due to release in spring 2018 in Japan, for PS4, PS Vita, and Switch.
