Steins;Gate Re:boot announced, bringing new art and story content to a classic VN

During One World, an event celebrating the 15th anniversary of Steins;Gate, developer MAGES. revealed Steins;Gate Re:boot.

The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, outside of a 2025 release window in Japan. It does show off some new art by series character designer huke, including a redesign of Mayuri.

More story content has been teased, though again the extent of these changes has not currently been revealed. MAGES. executive producer Chiyomaru Shikura did confirm in an unarchived stream (thanks Andrew Hodgson) that Steins;Gate Re:boot is not the previously announced Steins;??? which is still in development.

Since it’s just been revealed in Japan, it might still be a while before there’s any information on a western release for Steins;Gate Re:boot. If it does happen, it’ll likely be by Spike Chunsoft as they’ve handled all recent SciADV releases.
