So far, 3 girls have been “released” for Bandai Namco’s Summer Lesson series — the Japanese-exclusive VR game that sees you tutoring Japanese girls as you stare at them. Now, it’s been announced that Hikari, Allison, and Chisato will be coming in one box, but only the basics.
Essentially, think of this as a “starter pack” for the series, containing the base games for all three girls.
What you don’t get is any extra goodies for any of them, unlike their own individual “Complete” releases, which come with all the DLC and extra content for each girl. Alternatively you can just buy each of the sets individually straight off PSN too. At 7600 yen (about £49.99), it’s not exactly a super budget collection.
The 3-in-1 just contains the basic game of each, so you’ll have to buy extra things on top if you really want everything for every girl. Or maybe you’re just a basic kind of person anyway.
The DLC for the girls covers a variety of things, from costumes to whole new scenarios. So you may end up wanting to grab that extra stuff if you enjoy the basics anyway. It’s not like the DLC is exactly unsubstantial, though the main core and thrust of all three main scenarios is included in the set.
The game is entirely in Japanese, though there is an Asian English language version also available, which is in English. This version hasn’t been announced for that region, and you’d probably be better off downloading them anyway. But for completionists out there, you may want to have all three girls trapped in a box on your shelf anyway.
Summer Lesson: 3-in-1 Basic Game Pack releases for PlayStation 4 on 22nd February 2018 in Japan.
