Super Nintendo World opens Spring 2021 at Universal Studios Japan
As is the case with most projects this year, Super Nintendo World, a theme park area at Universal Studios Japan, was delayed due to the current pandemic. Now, Nintendo have revealed that it will be opening during Spring 2021, which should still see it ready in time for next year’s Olympics in Tokyo.
Ahead of the park’s official launch, a Nintendo themed cafe and store will be opened next week, October 16. There’s a decent selection of food and merchandise available, including Mario and Luigi pancakes and drinks.
Footage of Super Nintendo World was captured last month, and it looked like the area was already nearing completion. With Japan planning to reopen its borders to tourists ahead of the 2021 Olympics, maybe we’ll actually be able to visit Universal Studios Japan when the Super Nintendo World area opens.
