Supipara English Release possible

Manga Gamer today announced that a Supipara English release is possible if sales of their latest release Eden (soon to be released on Steam) reaches a suitably profitable level. The proceeds will fund the localisation and development of the Supipara English release – which previously stalled in an earlier attempt.

There are five chapters of Supipara – Alice the Magical Conductor in total, but only the first part was ever localised. By the look of the information MangaGamer provided, it looks like they’d need to raise around $500, 000 to make it viable.

Supipara is a Visual Novel that revolves around the protagonist, Yukinari, who, after a tragic past – where his father dies and his mother has been in a coma for seven years – returns to his home town and strikes up a relationship with an old childhood friend. It is, so I’ve been told, a very touching story – and as you can see the, the artwork is exquisite.
