Switch adds folders via new update
After more than five years, the Switch finally has access to folders via the new Ver. 14.0.0 update.
“Groups” can be created in the All Software menu, letting you arrange games in a far more orderly fashion. 100 groups can be created in total, with each one storing up to 200 games.
It’s a feature that both the 3DS and Wii U had access to (after updates), so it’s odd that a Switch equivalent took so long.
Now that the console has Bluetooth audio support as well, maybe Nintendo will move onto adding themes other than Basic White and Basic Black.
Only the PS5 remains as a modern console without the ability to create folders, with the Xbox Series X|S having them since launch. It’s unfortunate that basic OS features aren’t available at launch, and even more so that owners have to wait for years before they’re added.
