Tekken 7 Character Too Loli for US
For a fighting game series that features bears, kangaroos, raptors, multiple androids, mad scientists and a wooden person, a nekomimi with giant with paw shaped mittens was just too much to bare. The fan backlash given to this character was one not even the author anticipated, after which he quickly announced that this character will not make it to the US.
For its 20th anniversary of Tekken, Bandai Namco announced Lucky Chloe, a new character for upcoming Tekken 7 game. People were quick to voice their complaints, from the character being loli bait, to threatening to quit a match if the opponent selects Chloe, to outright refusing to buy the game.
Katsuhiro Harada, the director of the game, was so annoyed by all this that he told everyone that the character will not be coming to the US, but instead only East Asia and Europe. He even said that Lucky Chloe was only one of a few new characters and that he will make a muscular and skinhead who wields a gun specifically for the US.
Tekken 7 will be coming to Japanese Arcades in February 2015. Its PS4, Xbox One and PC versions will be out sometime in 2015. The game will run at 1080p 60fps.
