The King of Fighters XV delayed to 2022
The King of Fighters XV has been delayed once again, this time until Q1 2022.
SNK shared the news early this morning, with KOF XV producer Yasuyuki Oda stating the reason behind this delay. As with many other projects over the past year or so, XV’s development was affected by the ongoing pandemic.
The existence of The King of Fighters XV was revealed back in 2019, the game being slated for release the following year — of course, the game’s first trailer didn’t even show up until early 2021.
Character trailers have been appearing at a steady rate since the initial reveal, with SNK having just revealed Blue Mary’s inclusion in the game last week. The delay will potentially cause these trailers to appear less frequently over the coming months (unless The King of Fighters XV ends up having a massive roster of course).
