While the localisation announcements for the Crossbell games and Trails into Reverie may have been the biggest reveals of this morning’s Nihon Falcom 40th Anniversary LIVE Concert, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails ended up being the most surprising.
Based on Nayuta no Kiseki Kai, a remaster of the original PSP game, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails features the titular Nayuta as he adventures across multiple worlds.
Despite the game’s name in Japan, it isn’t actually connected to the mainline series — even its gameplay is closer to Falcom’s other action titles like Ys and Zwei.
As with every other game announced by NIS America during the concert, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails will be launching on PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It’s also the third Trails game with a 2023 release date in the west.
