The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom sees Zelda finally taking the protagonist role
Nintendo has revealed The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, a brand new title for the Switch that sees you actually playing as the titular character.
Launching September 26, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom sees you searching for Link after he is taken away by a mysterious power.
Changing things up even more is the Tri-rod, which lets Zelda copy objects and enemies she discovers during her adventures. Instead of fighting directly, she can summon creatures or throw objects to deal with threats.
As shown in the trailer, the Tri-rod also allows for many different forms of exploration as you build new platforms or take a rid on a friendly monster.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom technically isn’t the first time Zelda has been a protagonist in a game — that award goes to the dubious CD-i titles — though it is the first for a Nintendo developed release.
