The World Ends With You Anime is coming April 2021
Square Enix has announced that the anime adaptation for The World Ends With You will arrive in April next year.
In the newly released trailer, which you can watch below, main character Neku Sakuraba burns some frogs and makes some friends. You can also have a sneak peek (with you ears) at the anime’s opening theme.
Based on the plot of the classic 2007 Nintendo DS RPG, the anime sees characters battling to survive the Reapers’ deadly challenge.
Despite this trailer and release window announcement, the countdown website that launched last week is still tick-ticking away. Should we assume that this is a wholly separate, unrelated announcement? Guess we’ll find out in 10 hours’ time.
