Toei Animation hack causes anime delays
Toei Animation has announced that multiple anime, including One Piece and Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, will be delayed due to its internal systems being hacked earlier this month.
Four series in total are currently affected by the hack: One Piece, Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai, Digimon Ghost Game, and Delicious Party Pretty Cure.
More info on the future schedule for these series will be announced at a later date, with One Piece being indefinitely delayed. Episode 73 of The Adventure of Dai will be delayed as well, instead being replaced with a rerun of Episode 31 in Japan.
Toei Animation was hacked on March 6, though there’s currently no news on what data has been accessed. Depending on how series the breach was, the effects could be felt for a long time.
