You might have heard that Japan will hold the next Olympic games in 2020 (I’m not too much into sports but even I know this). The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is currently looking for an official Tokyo 2020 Olympic mascot, and they decided to open the applications worldwide.
If you have a good design in mind and if you’re willing to draw it, you can send your application through their official website (here) between the 1st and the 14th August 2017. You must be at leat 18 years old and if selected, there will be ¥100.000 at stake (£690/ €790).
The design will be elected by a highly selective committee composed of… Japanese schoolboys and schoolgirls! The winner will be announced on March 2018.
