Touken Ranbu Warriors western release announced, launching May 2022

Koei Tecmo has announced that Touken Ranbu Warriors will be coming to the west digitally for Switch on May 24, 2021.

A western release had seemed unlikely, as Touken Ranbu itself only just released this year (more than six years after its initial Japanese launch).

Touken Ranbu Warriors features 15 characters from the original swordboy collecting game, having them face off against thousands of opponents in typical Warriors fashion.

On October 2 at 3PM BST, a first-look will be shared during the DMM Special Program at Tokyo Game Show 2021. But for now, the announcement trailer shows of the game’s main cast, with the official website featuring character bios and an overview of the story for newcomers to the franchise.
