During this morning’s Nihon Falcom 40th Anniversary LIVE Concert, NIS America announced that Hajimari no Kiseki will be coming to the west as Trails into Reverie. Launching in 2023, it’ll be available on PS4, Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam (no GOG announcement, though it should come to that storefront too).
Trails into Reverie makes use of a different structure to previous Trails games, having you jump between the interconnected stories of Rean Schwarzer, Lloyd Bannings, and the mysterious masked “C”. The True Reverie Corridor will also allow for unique party compositions that are not possible during these three main storylines.
2023 is a long time to wait, especially with Kuro no Kiseki launching in Japan this year, but we’ll be getting multiple other Trails games in the meantime — being a few years behind Japan when it comes to Trails is actually an improvement compared to how things used to be anyway.
