Created in collaboration with USERJOY, SYOU and NADA, the anime will feature an original story set in the western part of Zemuria. USERJOY’s Any Liu mentions that they hope both series fans and newcomers will enjoy “the new story that has never been told before with unique characters from the ‘Kiseki’ series”.
Liu also states that a game based on the anime’s story is currently in production. With Falcom already working on Kuro no Kiseki and Nayuta no Kiseki Kai (plus any unannounced projects), it’s reasonable to assume that this game is being made by another developer instead.
No footage of the Trails of Cold Steel anime has been shown just yet, though more info should appear ahead of its 2022 worldwide release.
