Trails of Cold Steel IV comes to Switch April 9

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV‘s Switch debut is only a few months away, with publisher NIS America announcing that the port will launch on April 9 in Europe and North America.
Having already released on PS4 in 2020, the “final” entry in the Trails of Cold Steel saga will also be making its way to PC this year (though that version has no release date yet).
Something worth mentioning is that, while it’s the ninth Trails game, Cold Steel IV is only the second game in the series to be made available on Switch. Ports of earlier games could happen in the future, but for now, the series isn’t exactly easy to get into if you don’t own a PS4/5 or PC.
If you’re trying to figure out where to start with Trails — and have access to the aforementioned platforms — then head on over to our guide for some ideas.
