Vergil joins PC and last-gen versions of Devil May Cry V

Devil May Cry V players on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 can now play as the katana wielding son of Sparda, Vergil.

The Vergil DLC for last-gen versions of Devil May Cry V was announced not long after the reveal of Special Edition this year.

Unlike the next-gen Special Edition, only Vergil had been added to PC, Xbox One, and PS4. That means no Turbo Mode, and no Legendary Dark Knight Mode without buying the game again for PS5 or Xbox Series. For PC players, this also means that there’s no update to add in ray tracing.

While the Virgil DLC is only priced at £4/€5, missing out on the additional modes without any way of upgrading to Special Edition didn’t go over well with some last-gen Devil May Cry fans. Then again, with Special Edition already dropping to £25 and below at online retailers like Base, it might not be too costly to upgrade in a few months time.
