Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. announced for PC, rollback netcode confirmed
After hinting at more Virtua Fighter content in recent years, SEGA has revealed Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. for PC.
Releasing winter 2024 on Steam, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. brings even more changes compared to the PS4 Ultimate Showdown release — the most notable of which being the long-requested addition of rollback netcode.
In addition, SEGA also confirmed that balance changes will be coming to Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. This is the first time anything has been adjusted in 13 years.
Oddly enough, the balance changes are also planned for Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown. However, there’s no mention of rollback also being implemented in that release. If there are no changes to netcode in that version, then that throws PC and PS4 crossplay out of the window too.
