The project involves many staff members from the Drakenier franchise, including creative director Yoko Taro, executive director Yosuke Saito, music Director Keiichi Okabe, and character designer Kimihiko Fujisaka.
So what is Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars? At this point, it’s anyone’s guess, though according to Square Enix the game will “spark players imagination and open their minds to a different way of storytelling as the narrative unfolds”.
Yoko Taro did at least confirm that this is not part of the Drakengard series, and that it’s not a “social game”.
