Windjammers 2 beta available now for PS4, PS5 and PC

Developer and publisher Dotemu has opened the beta for Windjammers 2 on PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam.

The beta is free to all, and will run until August 22. It features four characters and stages, though the only mode available will be Ranked Online — Dotemu mentions that the “Play with Friends” mode isn’t available in this beta due to stability issues.

A tutorial video has also been released, going over the game’s mechanics. This’ll be useful even for those that played the first Windjammers, as there are a few new moves introduced in the sequel.

While the Windjammers 2 beta is only for PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam, the full version is also launching on Stadia and Switch. There’s currently no release date — due to the game being delayed multiple times already, Dotemu is likely waiting until it can guarantee a set date.
