World’s End Club coming to Switch next year, out now on iOS
World’s End Club has had an interesting time during development. Originally titled Death March Club, the game has seen a shift in platforms to iOS, and seemingly a shift in tone as well. A new trailer has shown off World’s End Club’s new look, while also revealing that a Switch version is coming next year.
Having just released on iOS via Apple Arcade, World’s End Club is headed by Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi and Danganronpa‘s Kazutaka Kodaka.
A group of kids are trapped in a theme park under the sea, forced by a weird clown to participate in a “Fate Game”. Awakening to special powers, the group must survive this trial and escape the park.
The trailer shows off some new gameplay, having the kids visit areas seemingly outside the theme park. In fact, the tone for most of the trailer is quite light-hearted, possibly showing a change in tone compared to Death March Club. Then again, considering the main people behind this project, it could all be a red herring.
World’s End Club is out now on iOS, with the Switch version planned for Summer 2021. The originally announced PC version has not been mentioned since the initial reveal.
