Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition revealed, will include new story content
Nintendo has announced out of nowhere that Xenoblade Chronicles X will finally be coming to the Switch early next year.
Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will bring Monolith Soft’s open world RPG to Switch on March 20, 2025. It’ll bring some visual enhancements to the Wii U title, though any improvements on this side will likely be limited when playing in handheld mode.
Interestingly, Nintendo has also teased that there’ll be new story content, with the reveal trailer showing a mysterious hooded figure. The original version Xenoblade Chronicles X cut back a lot on story compared to the other Xenoblade games, so it remains to be seen if there’s much more in the Definitive Edition.
