Ys IX: Monstrum Nox gets demo ahead of February launch

With Ys IX: Monstrum Nox‘s European PS4 release only a month away, NIS America have released a brand new demo to tide Falcom fans over until then.

It seems like NIS America have released this with no fanfare, as there’s no mention of the demo on social media or via press release.

Clocking in at around 4.8GB in size, the Ys IX demo can be played on both PS4 and PS5, like most releases for Sony‘s last gen console. In fact, playing on PS5 should help with the many frame rate issues players encountered, even when using a PS4 Pro.

Take a glimpse into the mysterious city of Balduq with this Ys IX: Monstrum Nox demo. Choose between one of two key locations to explore, and experiment with the brand-new Gifts and Monstrums before your full adventure begins.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox launches on the PS4 in Europe on February 5 (2 in North America). It’s also set to release on the Switch and PC in English, slated for some time during Summer 2021.
