Demon Gaze originally released for the Vita back in 2013, mixing solid dungeon crawling with a few unique mechanics (and the occasional fanservice). Demon Gaze Extra takes this version of the game and improves its visuals, adds some quality of life features, and even introduces an extra class.
On the QoL front, autopilot navigation through dungeons has been improved, and battles can be sped up even further than before. It’s now also possible to retry any battle if defeated, something that should take the edge of dungeon crawling for beginners.
Meanwhile, the new job “Machina” can be unlocked after progressing far enough into the game. They seem to be almost puppet-like in appearance.
Early purchases of Demon Gaze Extra will include the Healing Wand and Armor Gem Assortment Set DLC packs, with a Digital Deluxe edition adding in the Perfect Jewel Set DLC. The base version is priced at $59.99, Digital Deluxe at $65.99.
