8-Bit Adventures 2 adds multiple console versions

8-Bit Adventures 2, previously announced as a PC exclusive, will now also be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch.

The ports are being handled by Ratalaika Games (the publisher bringing old school shmup Gleylancer to modern consoles), and will be a simultaneous release alongside the Steam and GOG versions.

8-Bit Adventures 2 is an indie RPG that, according to the developer, “is everything you love about NES, SNES and PS1-era JRPGs – with all of the charm, heart and soul, but none of the inconvenience”.

Based on the port announcement trailer, we can at least confirm that the game looks pleasing visually. It’s going for an SNES-era Final Fantasy graphics style, with some extra battle animations thrown in for good measure.

There’s currently no release date, though a demo is available on PC via 8-Bit Adventures 2’s Steam page.
