Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus confirmed for North American release
Xseed has announced that Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, sequel to Burst, will be making it’s way to NA later this Winter. Whilst there hasn’t been mention of an EU release yet, it’s safe to assume that PQube are working on bringing it over.
Whilst it’ll be available digitally, there’ll also be a limited print run of retail copies which come with a soundtrack CD and a ‘Shinobi Syllabus’, a book detailing the characters with illustrations and strategies to use in-game.
Featuring 20 playable characters, Shinovi Versus takes place after the events of Burst, and now features 4 clans including the already established Hanzō National Academy and Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy, with Homura and friends now known as the Homura Crimson Squad. The two new groups are Gessen Girls’ Academy and a new set of girls from Hebijo.
Unlike Burst, Shinovi Versus will utilise 3D combat over Burst’s side-scrolling effort, and will include an online mode for up to 4 players, so you can fight ’til your hearts content. Hopefully there will be an option for 2v2 fighting!
