Saint Young Men Gets Live-Action Drama
Bizarre slice-of-life comedy Saint Young Men, following the daily lives of Buddha and Jesus in modern-day Japan, will be getting a live-action drama. Kodansha’s ‘Morning Two’ magazine will be giving more details in the next issue, releasing on 22nd December.
Hikaru Nakamura’s Saint Young Men is a strange little series that has been running in the magazine since 2007, as well as being adapted into 2 OVA episodes and a movie. There are no current details for who will be playing either of the main characters in this version.
It seems like a strange thing to make a live-action version of, but it sounds like a fun series, so I look forward to it! I’ll be really curious to see some screenshots of this when there are some!
