Metal Max Xeno: Reborn coming west in 2022

PQube announced today that Kadokawa Games‘ post-apocalyptic JRPG Metal Max Xeno: Reborn will be coming to the west some time next year.

As with the Japanese release last year, it’ll be launching on PS4 and Switch, alongside a newly revealed PC version on Steam.

Reborn is a remake of the 2018 PS4 and Vita title Metal Max Xeno, bringing improved visuals and a multitude of gameplay changes. Of course, you’ll still be battling through the ruins of society in various tanks (and occasionally on foot), which can be kitted out with different parts and weapons.

Check out the gameplay trailer for a look at Metal Max Xeno: Reborn’s reworked graphics and combat. And yes — as shown at the end of the trailer — you can pet the dog.

Metal Max Xeno: Reborn overview via PQube:

Humanity is on the brink of extinction and the last remaining survivors look to push back against the machines.

Half a century ago of war against the mother computer NOA has reduced even Asia’s largest metropolis, TOKIO, to rubble.

Explore this desolate wasteland and battle your way through onslaughts of enemies. Salvage, modify and hit back using tanks, weaponry and faithful battle dog, Pochi, to reclaim a future for the human race!
