It features customisable mecha across a number of modes, ranging from a story mode featuring main series protagonist Shirogane Takeru, to 4v4 PvP — the latter is currently still work-in-progress.
According to the Steam page, developer aNCHOR Inc. currently has no time frame for when the full version of Project MIKHAIL will release, though the game’s story mode “has all the elements needed to enjoy it as a full release.”
The game’s reception has been mixed so far, with many players mentioning the poor visuals and gameplay. Looking through the reviews deemed most helpful by Steam users, it seems like even the positive reviews are ironically still rather negative overall.
Hopefully things will improve over the course of early access, though Project MIKHAIL might have fared better if its debut had been delayed by a few more months.
