Uruha Rushia terminated from Hololive due to breach of contract
Following Cover Corperation’s statement last week regarding Hololive vtuber Uruha Rushia, the company has now decided to terminate her contract due to repeated violations.
Specifically, the notice mentions that Rushia “has been distributing false information to third parties and has been leaking information”. Cover Corperation already said something to this effect in its previous notice, though the wording didn’t explicitly link it to the vtuber herself until now.
Further information regarding refunds of birthday merchandise will be given at a later date, and Rushia’s YouTube channel will be shut down during the end of March 2022.
The remaining members of Hololive JP 3rd Generation have also released a video (featuring English subtitles) regarding their thoughts on the news, and mention that they’ll still continue their activities as a group.
It’s a bad situation all round, and one where we’ll probably never know the full extent of things behind the scenes. However, while this goes without saying, don’t pester or harass members of hololive (or anyone that might be involved) for more information.
