Digimon Survive seemingly delayed to 2022

Digimon Survive has already been delayed by multiple years since its initial reveal back in 2018, but things are still not looking good for the project.

Based on Toei Animation’s latest financial report, Digimon Survive is now arriving in 2022, with the game listed under “Fiscal Year 2022 Q3 and Beyond” (thanks to Gematsu for the English info).

Information has been sparse on the title outside of the occasional screenshot reveal. We do know that it features an original cast of characters that are left stranded in a world filled with Digimon — the main cast can be seen in the game’s opening movie.

Digimon Survive is already well past its initial release schedule, and the current pandemic will have only added even more problems. It’d be nice to have more Digimon games in the west (the Cyber Sleuth RPGs were fun, despite their wonky localisations), so hopefully Survive manages to… survive.
