Persona 5 2017 NA Release Date Confirmed, No EU Date
Atlus has announced that Persona 5 will be releasing in North America on 14th February 2017, roughly five months after Japan.
I wrote an article a couple of months ago as to why I thought Persona 5 would be released in the West in 2017 and, although I’d have been much happier seeing it this year, the late Japan date and Atlus’ previous track record shows that a simultaneous worldwide release date was very unlikely.
Persona 5 will be releasing on PS3 and PS4, with the PS4 version being available in a launch day steelbook edition or the ‘Take Your Heart’ edition which comes with a Morgana plush, a Persona 5 soundtrack selection CD, a 64 page hardcover artbook, steelbook, a school bag and a collectible box to house it lal.
There’s currently no word on a European release yet and it seems to be something that we won’t receive word on soon as Atlus and NIS America have cut ties and SEGA has no plans to publish it, but we might see the game come via another publisher. Either way, it’s region-free so you can bet that we’ll have coverage of it when it releases!
