Animal Crossing: New Horizons winter update launches November 19
Nintendo have announced a release date for Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ next major update. The winter update will arrive on November 19, bringing new events, quality of life changes and more.
A brief trailer goes over everything that’ll be added in the upcoming update. The main highlights are two events that will take place before the end of the year: Turkey Day (Thanksgiving) and Toy Day (Christmas). They start on November 26 and December 24 respectively, with Toy Day having multiple festive items to craft throughout the month.
There’ll be new reactions and hairstyles obtainable via Nook Miles too, and a collaboration item with Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. If you’ve expanded your home to the largest size and are debt-free, a storage expansion option will also become available.
Finally, it will be possible to transfer save data between consoles once the update arrives, a feature that was mentioned by Nintendo back in July. A single player’s data, or an entire island, can be transferred to a new system.
Rounding out the trailer is a release window for another update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is planned for late January.
