Another seasonal Animal Crossing: New Horizons update arrives July 29
Nintendo is still supporting Animal Crossing: New Horizons with new updates, however minor they may be.
The weekly Fireworks Show will make its return after the latest update on July 29, allowing players to create their own custom fireworks.
New seasonal items will also be added, though the announcement tweet mainly just shows off existing items that were added last year.
If you read through the comments on Nintendo’s various social media accounts, players aren’t exactly happy with the update announcement. New Horizons is still missing content found in previous Animal Crossing games (despite some features being added post-launch), and the Fireworks Show isn’t substantial enough on its own.
A follow-up tweet does at least mention that more free content is being planned for 2021. Whether this means new events or features, or just re-runs of the same seasonal events, remains to be seen.
