Blaster Master Zero 3 announced as series finale
Inti Creates had one final surprise saved for the end of New Game+ Expo 2021‘s opening showcase, revealing Blaster Master Zero 3 for Switch, PS4, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Releasing July 29 2020, Blaster Master Zero 3 will be the last entry in the series, as its protagonist Jason returns to the planet Sophia for one final adventure.
The combination of 2D platforming and top-down sections should be familiar to series fans, with the main gimmick looking to be dimensional travel — complete with some trippy visual effects.
In Japan, a physical release has been announced for the trilogy on PS4 and Switch, containing all previous DLC and newly added voice acting. No English version for this has been mentioned currently, though it could happen via a limited print company like Limited Run Games at some point.
