Ikki Unite comes to Switch April 18

Sunsoft has announced that Ikki Unite will launch for Nintendo Switch on April 18, 2024.

Releasing on PC early 2023, Ikki Unite is a reboot or reimagining of the Ikki franchise. It takes the original arcade title and reworks it into a 16 player cooperative experience, with gameplay similar to titles like Vampire Survivors.

Players can take on different roles, cooperating to try and reach the final stage. Meta progression allows you to get stronger even after death — a patch released after the PC version cut down the grind for this system significantly.

It’s certainly an odd game to get another sequel, but Ikki Unite ended up being received fairly positively last year on PC. At the very least, it makes for a unique title compared to other survivors-style games.
