Monster Hunter Wilds gets first trailer

During the latest State of Play stream, Capcom revealed the very first gameplay trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds.

Releasing during 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Monster Hunter Wilds will take hunters to a number of new locations. Shown during the trailer was the Windward Plains, featuring a mix of both harsh desert and calm grasslands.

Two large monsters, Doshaguma and Chatacabra, were shown off, with the player making use of a Greatsword and Bowgun to take them on. Weapons can be switched on the go while riding Seikrets, mounts that also allow the player to gather items and prepare for the next fight.

Save bonuses in the form of Palico equipment will be available for those that have played Monster Hunter World and its expansion DLC Iceborne — nothing for Monster Hunter Rise or the Stories games has been announced at this time.
