Ys X: Nordics western release announced for autumn 2024
NIS America has announced that Ys X: Nordics will release in the west during autumn 2024, coming to Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC via Steam.
Ys X: Nordics sees series protagonist Adol involved in another seafaring incident, which sees him teaming up with the pirate Karja to help save the people of Obelia Gulf.
The battle system has been adjusted slightly from the 3-person party setup see in in Ys VII-IX, with the only playable characters being Adol and Karja. Players can switch between both freely, using their combined powers to unleash deadly “Revenge” attacks.
A new type of gameplay system is also introduced in Ys, in the form of sailing. Adol will travel across Obelia Gulf, finding new islands and taking part in naval battles.
No physical editions have been announced at this time, though it’s safe to assume that the usual Deluxe and Limited editions will make an appearance on the NISA Europe store closer to Ys X’s release.
