Sony showcase new controller for PS5 VR
Having already announced that VR is on the way for the PS5, Sony has now revealed the controller that will be coming with it.
Compared to the reused Move controllers for VR on PS4, this new controller looks much nicer. With specific controllers for both hands, and no more ugly balls in sight, it should make VR gaming on current-gen much less cumbersome.
As with the DualSense, the currently unnamed PS5 VR controller features both adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Instead of a touchpad, a good portion of the controller has built-in touch detection.
PS VR was an affordable way to get into VR gaming, though it’s fairly dated nowadays. With PS VR 2 (or whatever it ends up being called), Sony now has a chance to create a more advanced VR experience — which might come with a much higher price tag.
