Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp delayed to 2022

Nintendo has announced that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will not be releasing in December, with the game’s new release window being Spring 2022.

Re-Boot Camp is a Switch remake/compilation of the two GBA Advance Wars games with redone visuals and online play for up to four players. Based on information shared by the publisher, there’s no new content, such as additional missions or units.

According to Nintendo’s announcement, the delay is due to the game needing “a little more time for fine tuning.” The initial trailer did have some noticeable performance issues during combat, though the extra dev time should lead to a more polished game in general.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is being developed by WayForward, which is also currently working with Arc System Works on River City Girls 2.
