First global Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis beta announced

Sega has revealed that a global closed beta test for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will start on May 14.

While multiple beta tests for New Genesis have already taken place in Japan, this will be the first time the English version has been made available to players.

Registrations will open on April 21 at 6PM BST, with priority given to those that apply first. The beta itself starts on May 15 at 2AM BST, running until May 17 at 3AM BST. Those that manage to join this first closed beta will get some sort of participation reward — most likely a title or cosmetic item.

The amount of players being accepted into the closed beta may be limited (and only available to Windows 10 PC players), but there’s always a chance of more beta tests taking place ahead of the game’s 2021 release.
